Handling and Aggressive/Mean Pets
Not all pets are accepting of being groomed. You may be charged an extra cost for handling and/or aggression if your dog is challenging at the table. Muzzles may be used, if necessary. The use of a muzzle does not endanger your pets and safeguards both the animals and the groomers without obstructing air or oxygen flow. At any point before or during the grooming procedure, Wandererhub maintains the right to refuse/stop services for such pet(s) and to charge an Aggressive Pet fee in addition to the standard grooming fee. Pets that are mean or aggressive will incur additional fees.
Parasites, Ticks, or Fleas
Your pet will get a flea bath to kill any ticks or fleas found during the grooming procedure, and an additional fee will be charged. The cost of a flea bath or a tick removal is extra.
Special Care on Medical Problems for Puppy and Senior Pets
In particular, for a senior pet or puppy with health issues, grooming treatments can be traumatic for puppies on their first or even second grooming. They can also expose hidden medical problems or aggravate an existing one during or after the groom. Also, because senior pets and puppies with health issues have a higher risk of damage, these pets will receive special care fees in addition to grooming for cleanliness and comfort in non-stressful ways. When veterinary treatment is required during the grooming procedure, Wandererhub World LLC will not in any manner pay for those costs. When a puppy is groomed for the first or second time, as well as for older or senior animals, there is a specific care fee.
Matted Coats Removal & Authorization for Shaving your Pet
Pets with matted coats require special care when being groomed. Wandererhub World LLC will not continuously de-mat your pet for you because we do not want to put your pet through unnecessary or severe stress. While removing a heavily matted coat, there is a chance of getting nicks, scratches, or abrasions from skin folds, warts, or moles caught in the mats. Excessive matting can aggravate skin irritations that are already present in the pet before brushing by trapping dust, dandruff, debris, moisture, and urine close to the skin.
In some cases, a "shave down" will be necessary to eliminate the mats and allow the skin to access the essential oxygen it needs in order to develop healthy hair. There may be itching, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations, or abrasions as a result of mat removal techniques. The best defense against matting is prevention, which can be achieved by making routine grooming visits. Hair that is knotted and twisted also incurs a demitting fee.
